Chapbook 5.5" x 8.5"
This was the first chapbook printed by Robert Crane Publishing. Renick Stevenson, the soon to be "Artist-in-Residence" of the Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek Michigan,
was living in Jacksonville Beach at the time and reading his poetry at The Fusion Café on Park Street in Five Points. "Slices" was a small run of 100 books and sold out immediately.
It was decided to create a separate division to do poetry chapbooks to separate the creative works from the
contract technical publishing side. The name "Closet Books" was taken from a comment by Renick as to the origin of the poems for his collection.
Subsequent chapbooks were published under "Closet Books" and featuring the trademarked logo of the open closet
door in the background and manuscript pages tied with string in the foreground.
