Jonathan Orion

Jonathan Orion is the pen name for Daniel S. Somerson. Daniel is originally from Philadelphia, Pa where he spent the majority of his formative years. Daniel's poetic inspiration was fostered by his special relationship with his Grandfather, Herman L. Perlish. Herman would spend many Saturdays with Daniel either on a walk or sitting on a park bench and would recite his many poems. Daniel vividly recalls Herman's memorized recitals; focusing on his love of life, his beloved Dora and his many metaphors. Daniel has taken these treasures and transposed them into Herman's living legacy through the Closet Books titles Poems of Love and Ruby Red.
