About Closet Books
Closet Books was founded in 1996 as the literary division of Robert Crane Publishing (RobertCraneCorp.com) and is dedicated to publishing the works of writers that we feel represent diverse voices of the community.
Closet Books is not a vanity press or Print-on-Demand. We feel the independent editorial process is a valuable element in producing quality representative literature. Because of this, manuscripts are evaluated on the quality of content by an independent editorial group composed of staff editors and talented volunteer writers and college instructors. Only a small number of manuscripts submitted are published and authors must be willing to accept needed editorial changes.
